What are chemical changes?
Chemical changes occur in the kitchen when we add ingredients to a recipe. Signs that a chemical change has occurred include:
In food, we know that they a chemical reaction or change has occurred when there is a change in texture and taste. Here is an example of several chemical changes that occur when baking biscuits (or cookies, if you must) :
